INVITATION TO ENTER THE WBFF WORLD BONSAI CONTEST 2004

The World Bonsai Friendship Federation (WBFF) is very pleased to announce that this year's World Bonsai Contest is being named the "WBFF World Bonsai Contest 2004." The winning photographs will be displayed, and the Awards Ceremony will take place, during the 5th World Bonsai Convention to be held on May 28-31, 2005 in Washington, D.C.

The deadline for entries has now passed.

The members of the Screening Committee for this year's contest will be: Saburo Kato (Former Chairman of WBFF and of the Nippon Bonsai Association (NBA)), Hiroshi Takeyama (Chairman of NBA), Hatsuji Kato (Chairman of the Japan Bonsai Growers Cooperative (JBGC), Jiro Fukuda (Former Chairman of JBGC), Shinichi Nakajima (Executive Director, JBGC), and Yasuo Ito (Board Member, NBA).

Japan Airlines inaugurated the World Bonsai Contest in 1999 and, together with the Nippon Bonsai Association and the Japan Bonsai Growers Cooperative, has sponsored the contest for each of the past 5 years. WBFF is deeply grateful to Japan Airlines, the Nippon Bonsai Association and the Japan Bonsai Growers Cooperative for associating this year's contest with WBFF and the 5th World Bonsai Convention.
